  • Lorne Lodge Captures the Gavel

    The members of Lorne Lodge No. 622 (Chapleau) captured the Travelling Gavel from Dyment Lodge No. 422 (Thessalon) on June 24, 2024.

  • Penewobikong Captures the Gavel

    The members from Lorne Lodge No. 622 had captured the Travelling Gavel from Woodland Lodge No. 680 (Wawa) on March 31, 2023 at the DDGM Official Visit of R.W. Bro. John K. Thomas.

    Within less then 24 hours on April 1, 2023 the members from Penewobikong Lodge No. 487  (Blind River) captured the Travelling Gavel from Lorne Lodge No. 622 (Chapleau). This was done at the DDGM Official Visit of R.W. Bro. John K. Thomas.

  • First of Four Fraternal Visits

    We had a fun-loving group turn out for our first meeting of the year and were pleased to host R. W. Bro. George E. Thomas on his first fraternal visit to Lorne Lodge as DDGM and W. Bro. Art Friesen Worshipful Master of Penewobikong Lodge No. 487

  • Travelling Gavel goes to Hatherly Lodge

    On December 1, 2018 Hatherly Lodge No. 625 (Sault Ste. Marie) challenged Woodland Lodge No. 680 (Wawa) for the Travelling Gavel with Hatherly prevailing 11-10. This challenge took place at Lorne Lodge No. 622 (Chapleau) on the occasion of their 1000th Regular Meeting.


  • Penewobikong Captures the Gavel

    On April 14th, 2018 Penewobikong Lodge No. 487 (Blind River) members captures the Travelling Gavel from Elliot Lake Lodge No. 698. There was a unanimous decision made by the Brethren of Penewobikong Lodge and the District Deputy Grand Master R.W. Bro. Harry Michael Thomas to give the Traveling Gavel  to Lorne Lodge No. 622 (Chapleau).

  • 50 Year Presentation

    W. Bro. Keith Travis had the honour of presenting V.W. Bro. Tom O’Shaughnessy with his 50 year pin at the December 1st, 2016 Lorne Lodge Meeting. V.W. Bro O’Shaughnessy was initiated into the Mysteries and Privileges of Ancient Free Masonry in November 1962. He was Master of Lorne Lodge 622 in 1977 and appointed a grand Steward in 1988. Throughout his Masonic career, he has been one of our faithful members making the twenty minute drive each month.
