  • Grand Master’s Meritorious Service Award

    Congratulations R.W. Bro. Ian MacKenzie

    At the 170th Annual Communication of Grand Lodge, held this past July, Algoma East now has another member who has received an award from M.W. Bro. Jamie Ireland. R.W. Bro. Ian MacKenzie was one of three recipients of the Grand Master’s Meritorious Service Award. 

    This is a prestigious honour presented by the Grand Master to outstanding Masons, recognizing exceptional service to the fraternity. Recipients of this award are identified by a gold medallion suspended from a royal blue ribbon. The designation was established in 1988 by then – Grand Master R.W. Bro. W. R. Pellow.

    This will be hard to believe, but R.W. Bro. Ian was absolutely speechless after receiving the award. Congratulations R.W. Bro. Ian MacKenzie on being awarded one of the highest awards in Masonry. It was hard earned and most definitely well deserved.

    R.W. Bro. Ian MacKenzie is a member of Hatherly Lodge No. 625 and an affiliate member of Lorne Lodge No. 622.

    It was a full house with representatives from Elliot Lake Lodge No. 698, Dyment Lodge No. 442, Algoma Lodge No. 469 and Hatherly Lodge No. 625.

  • Woodland Lodge – Travelling Gavel & Installation & Investiture of Officers

    On June 12, 2019 the members of Hatherly Lodge No. 625 (Sault Ste. Marie) gave Woodland Lodge No. 680 (Wawa) the Travelling Gavel. This was done at the Installation and Investiture of Officers for 2019 – 2020.

    Woodland Lodge No. 680. Visitors and members at the Installation and Investiture of Officers for 2019 – 2020 Woodland Lodge is given the Travelling Gavel by Hatherly Lodge No. 625.

  • Travelling Gavel goes to Hatherly Lodge

    On December 1, 2018 Hatherly Lodge No. 625 (Sault Ste. Marie) challenged Woodland Lodge No. 680 (Wawa) for the Travelling Gavel with Hatherly prevailing 11-10. This challenge took place at Lorne Lodge No. 622 (Chapleau) on the occasion of their 1000th Regular Meeting.

  • 50 Year Pin Presentation

    October 11, 2018

    At the Official Visit to Hatherly Lodge No. 625 on October 11, 2018 R. W. Bro. George Thomas the DDGM for Algoma East District presented W. Bro. Frank Smith with his 50 Year Pin and Jewel.

  • The Collar & Apron of a Grand Steward

    V. W. Bro. Cliff Graham was invested with the collar and apron of a Grand Steward at Hatherly Lodge No. 625 on September 13, 2018
