Knife & Fork Degree Christmas Edition

It’s time to get into the Christmas spirit and what better way to kick off the season than joining your brethren for a repast of turkey, potatoes, stuffing and the like. Look at it as a training session for the rest of the month! Dinner will be served at 5:45 pm.

There is no Degree work scheduled for this meeting.

Notice of Motion

Lorne Lodge has reduced lodge expenses drastically in the past several months; Wi-Fi has been removed, the antiqued computer has not been replaced, the accounting program which was being used has been discontinued, along with other minor reductions. There is little more we can cut!

With the rising costs of property tax, water delivery, electricity, property and furniture insurance, etc., and the second increase in two years to the assessment paid to Grand Lodge, we have no recourse but to ask the members to approve a dues increase.

Therefore, a Notice of Motion will be introduced at December’s regular meeting, proposing a dues increase of twenty dollars per member and further increase of ten dollars per member the following year.

As per the Constitution, the Notice of Motion will be inserted in January’s monthly Summons, allowing a ballot to be held at January’s regular meeting. this would see the initial dues increase come into effect January 1st, 2026 and the second increase effective January 1st, 2027.
